We, The Trustees, are pleased to report that the first year of operations for Scottie Rescue UK has ended in a good financial position. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed in any way. We have experienced challenges in obtaining a ‘registered’ charity profile with the Charity Commission for England and Wales which we recently reported in our Scottie Rescue Newsroom. Once we have established our ‘legal structure’ that will define the type of Charity that we will be, and can show evidence of annual financial income required by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, we shall be in a position to progress our application for Registration.…

As everyone will remember from our post in September 2017, Scottie Rescue UK is not a Charity: It does not yet meet the financial conditions laid down by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. In fact, this is a “positive”, as we have yet to establish a ‘legal structure’ that will define the type of Charity we will be: Making changes to the legal structure, after registration, is both difficult, cumbersome and time consuming matter, but in the year or years to come our depth of experience in rehoming Scotties and supporting the health and wellbeing organisations we encounter will give us much needed credence when we do eventually…

Scottie Rescue UK introduces “The Management Team” In January 2017, a new Scottish Terrier rehoming organisation was formed called “Scottie Rescue, UK”.  It has received substantial support from both within the UK and globally. “The Management Team” consisting of Karen Scarlett-Hornby and Raymond & Elaine Clements would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who has supported Scottie Rescue so far. The “Team”, together with the help of members who have already volunteered their time and help, will be arranging fundraising events throughout 2017.

Thank you to everyone who has sent in donations, or became a member of Scottie Rescue or volunteered in some way. Support has been overwhelming and we’ve yet to get our stationary organised, so please bear with us for a couple of days. Thank you  letters will be in the post shortly.
